Treatment Philosophy

"I believe that pain can interfere with many aspects of a person’s life; physically, socially and psychologically, and together we can work to alleviate suffering through an individualized and multimodal approach to pain management."

Pain may be inevitable for some people, but suffering does not have to be."

Professional Journey

I began my professional journey 9 years ago when I started Nursing school. I always knew that I wanted to help people, which sounds a little cliché, but I was always intrigued by medicine. Several of my family members are in the medical profession, and after talking to them about Nursing, I knew that was the direction I wanted go. After about 2 years of nursing school, I knew I wanted to continue my education to become a Nurse Practitioner. After Graduating, I began working as a Nurse on a busy Medical Surgical Floor. I worked there for 5 years as a charge nurse, preceptor, floor nurse and IV specialist while I was pursuing my Graduate degree. I do miss bedside nursing, and am always humbled by how much people let you into their lives at their most vulnerable moments, but I am very much looking forward to the next chapter of my journey at Pain Care."
