PainCare & Salmon Falls Family Healthcare Announced as Underwriting Sponsors of 3rd Annual Apple Harvest Day 5k Road Race

Dover, NH - PainCare and Salmon Falls Family Healthcare were recently announced as the Underwriting Sponsors of the annual Apple Harvest Day 5k Road Race, presented by the Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce and managed by WCS Event Partners. The Road Race is the opening event for the 27th annual Apple Harvest Day which will take place on Saturday, October 1st at 8:30am.

PainCare & Salmon Falls Family Healthcare has been the Underwriting Sponsor for the 5k Road Race for all three years that the race has been organized. “Our practice is based on enhancing the quality of life for our patients, so supporting the Apple Harvest Day 5k is a natural fit for PainCare and Salmon Falls Family Healthcare,” commented founder, Michael J. O'Connell, M.D..

Now in its 3rd year, the 5k Road Race continues to grow.  Last year over 700 runners participated in the event and this year race organizers are once again expecting an increase in attendance.  "We are looking forward to another great Apple Harvest Day 5K," commented Race Director Britt Ulinski Schuman of WCS Event Partners.  "Runners and walkers can register for this family-friendly event right up till 8am on race day."  Ulinksi Schuman urges those still interested in registering for the race to go to the 5k website, www.appleharvestday5k.com or call the Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce at (603) 742-2218.  The first 400 runners to register will receive an Apple Harvest Day 5k Road Race t-shirt.

This year the 5k Road Race will begin on River Street by the Tommy and Mary Makem Bridge at 8:30am on Saturday, October 1st.  The 5k route features a rolling downtown United States Track and Field certified course that is perfect for local runners and families to start off their Apple Harvest Day.  WTSN’s Mike Pomp will be the race announcer.   Cash prizes will be awarded to top finishers and an extra $100 bonus will be awarded if a participant can set the male or female course record.
