The North Conway office of PainCare held a successful open house on Monday, January 23, 2012, in conjuction with the Mt. Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce. Approximately 50 local residents and health professionals met providers Daniel Graubert, MD and Kelly DeFeo, CRNA and learned about the services and treatments available.
In addressing the underserved needs of the North Country, Dr. Graubert explains that “in a state like New Hampshire that is so sparsely populated, it's tough as people have to drive long distances to get to places. Therefore, there are fewer clinics and people have to wait for months to get care, so it's frustrating.” PainCare is making a concerted effort to fill that gap with offices also located in Franconia, Plymouth, Woodsville, and Littleton.

Daniel A. Graubert, MD is the former Director of Interventional Pain Medicine at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Dr. Graubert practiced for many years as an anesthesiologist and wanted to become more involved in helping patients with their medical problems. His professional travels include:
- MIT BS Biology
- NYU School of Medicine MD
- St. Barnabas Medical Center internship General Surgery
- Duke University Residency Anesthesiology
- University of South Florida Fellowship Pain Medicine
In addition to seeing patients, Dr. Graubert will oversee the northern PainCare offices, provide consultive services to midlevels, do chart reviews, and run our provider "Journal Club."

After graduating as a Nurse Anesthetist in 1992, Kelly DeFeo, CRNA, PhD, APRN moved to Utah where she owned her own business providing a broad range of anesthesia services including pain management. Since moving back to New Hampshire in 2000, Kelly has been involved in all aspects of anesthesia delivery but specifically focusing on pain management. She's been involved in both the Utah and New Hampshire State Nurse Anesthetists Association on the executive board and as their President, and has worked on legislation to ensure those in rural communities have continued access to comprehensive anesthesia and pain care.
