PainCare Employee Runs to Raise Funds for CADY
Friday, 30 March 2012 11:09

PainCare’s northern New Hampshire Regional Office Manager, Daniel Sprague, will be running the Maine Marathon on September 30, 2012 to raise money for CADY Inc. (Communities for Alcohol and Drug-free Youth). CADY is a non-profit organization formed in 2000 based in Plymouth, NH that directly serves 17 surrounding rural towns. CADY's mission is to reduce and prevent youth alcohol, tobacco and other drug use and to promote healthy environments and promising futures for local youth.

310092_279202615426572_279201252093375_1332140_8166772_nDanny was first introduced to CADY and its staff in early 2011 through PainCare’s sponsorships of educational and fundraising events. Since that time, he has seen how dedicated and passionate the organization is about raising awareness and educating teens on these important issues. With the growing problem of prescription drug abuse among teens, CADY's mission is more important than ever before in alerting and educating teens on the dangers of these potentially dangerous drugs.  Please take some time to visit the CADY website at www.cadyinc.org to learn more about their great work.

Danny’s goal is to raise $2,000 for CADY so that they may continue to raise awareness for these issues. Please support CADY by going to Danny’s fundraising page (http://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/danielsprague/mainemarathon2012) and making a donation. Both Danny and CADY appreciate any support you can give.

The North Conway office of PainCare held a successful open house on Monday, January 23, 2012, in conjuction with the Mt. Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce. Approximately 50 local residents and health professionals met providers Daniel Graubert, MD and Kelly DeFeo, CRNA and learned about the services and treatments available.

In addressing the underserved needs of the North Country, Dr. Graubert explains that “in a state like New Hampshire that is so sparsely populated, it's tough as people have to drive long distances to get to places. Therefore, there are fewer clinics and people have to wait for months to get care, so it's frustrating.”  PainCare is making a concerted effort to fill that gap with offices also located in Franconia, Plymouth, Woodsville, and Littleton.

The office is open Mondays and Thursdays. You can make an appointment by calling (603) 356-5335.
