Pain Management Workshops for the General Practitioner

 

Purpose

The purpose of this program is to provide the general practitioner, nurse practitioner, CRNA, PA, and RN with the opportunity to become familiar with interventional pain management techniques and advanced pain control modalities for the patient with recalcitrant pain symptoms.


Target Audience

Family Practice Physicians, General Practice Physicians, CRNAs, APRNs, PAs, and RNs who currently manage pain patients or refer to specialists for pain management services.

 

Description

The workshop is divided into two portions: didactic/lecture and “hands-on” cadaver instruction. These two portions can be separately attended.

The didactic portion will include presentations on relevant anatomy and physiology, scientific and theoretical bases of pain, pharmacology, fluoroscopic evaluation, and a broad range of pain management interventional techniques.

The cadaver portion will provide attendees with an opportunity to appreciate “hands on” a variety of interventional pain management techniques to include blocks, vertebroplasty and neurostimulation.

Educational Credits are provided for the entire conference.
