Purpose/Goal:  To impact the delivery of effective pain management by exploring and exchanging practical and current information relative to vertebroplasty.

Target Audience:  Healthcare Providers interested in Pain Management:   Physicians, Physician Assistants, Chiropractors, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, PCP staff

Objectives:  At the conclusion of the session, the participant will be able to:

  • Discuss indications for vertebroplasty, including fractures due to osteoporosis and tumor infiltration.
  • Discuss patient management including patient selection, peri-procedure care (pre-, intra-, and post-), and benefits / complications of vertebroplasty.
