Purpose/Goal:  To impact the delivery of effective pain management by exploring and exchanging practical and current information relative to the management of acute and chronic neuropathic pain of shingles.

Target Audience:  Healthcare Providers interested in Pain Management:  Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, PCP staff

Objectives:  At the conclusion of the session, the participant will be able to:

  • Discuss recognition and pathophysiology of Herpes Zoster.
  • Discuss management of acute neuropathic pain of Herpes Zoster.
  • Discuss identification and treatment of Post Herpetic Neuralgia.
