 Christopher Clough, PA-C
Treatment Philosophy: "I believe in treating each patient
individually - avoiding the cookbook approach to medicine by more
thoughtfully matching a wide range of treatment methods to the specific
pain diagnosis and patient lifestyle." It is Chris' opinion that
injections and blocks can be surprisingly useful as much for diagnostic
as for therapeutic purposes. "You can have all the MRI's in the world
and still have the wrong pain diagnosis."
Special Interests: Diabetes, heart disease, and associated pain syndromes
Professional Journey: Chris grew up in Somersworth, New Hampshire. He graduated from Middlebury College in Vermont where he played right winger for the national championship hockey team. "After spending two years in Boston where I worked as a respiratory and dialysis technician, I fulfilled my desire to learn more about advanced medicine and attended physician assistant school in Maine." He returned to the tri-city area where he worked in a busy family practice, occupational health, and inpatient primary care before joining the PainCare team.
I wanted to return to the area where I grew up in order to
give back to a community that has given me so much. I have always known
that I wanted to help make people's lives a little better. With
compassion, skill, and a focus on meeting individual needs, I can help
my patients deal with their pain and restore some of the activities
they loved doing."
