Rochester - Dr. Michael J. O’Connell owner of PainCare in Somersworth and Merrimack, NH, recently provided Arts Rochester with the resources necessary to make essential repairs and improvements to one of their studio floors.

Arts Rochester receives donation from PainCare Centers

Arts Rochester moved to the historic Gonic Mill in the fall of 2004. With time, the hardwood flooring in the studio used for their tap dance program and other children’s classes settled and was not able to be used to its full potential. Upon seeing this and realizing the funding was not readily available to do the necessary repairs to the floor, Dr. O’Connell generously arranged for the repairs and improvements to be made.

Arts Rochester student Taryn Decker commented, “I’m so glad to have the floor fixed since tap dancing makes me feel happy and now I can dance wherever I want in the room without worrying."

Thanks to Dr. O'Connell's generosity, Arts Rochester was recently able to use the tap studio to host master classes as part of the "Dance Rochester!" annual regional dance festival.
